2) View England as a market, not a rich uncle

4) Organise to enable everybody to add value
5) Make a bigger pie rather than conspire to get a bigger slice through privilege

The barriers are a)dependency culture -b)dominance of the public sector c) tribal politics

and you can add:
1. Government focussed on Wealth creation for Scotland versus current Social engineering
2. Education system that meets the demands of industry (in whatever form that 'industry' may be - manufacturing or service)
3. Transport system that allows people to move more freely in and out of Scotland to trade especially with Europe and the US

The additional barrier is quality of leadership. As you rightly identify the necessity to move beyond tribal politics is paramount to making a difference

So do you think there's a way we can engage others in developing an approach we might suggest to others?

I'm sure there are other topics we might include in the think tank.

Maybe we could dream up a name, get some academics - thought leaders etc - on board and then create a series of press releases.

How do you think that might work?

I know the guy who is running the SNP as campaigns in Scotland. he might be interested. Let me have a chat with him and I'll advise on outcomes.
